How IREN-Tech Works
A streamlined pipeline for turning collaborative ideas into measurable impact.
Step 1 — Submit a Challenge or Join a Program
Universities, NGOs, governments, or industry partners send an Expression of Interest (EOI) or select an active challenge. We review needs, scope, and feasibility.
Step 2 — Co-Design the Solution Together
We bring together researchers, engineers, AI specialists, students, and community partners to understand the problem and design an evidence-based plan.
Step 3 — Build, Test, and Prototype
Technical teams develop prototypes, AI tools, workflows, or products. Students gain real project experience with expert supervision.
Step 4 — Deploy, Scale, and Transfer
Validated solutions are deployed in real contexts. Partners receive training, documentation, and ongoing support to ensure long-term success.
Full 7-Step Co-Design Lifecycle
Problem Intake
Partners express a need through an EOI or challenge call. We capture context, urgency, stakeholders, and existing gaps.
Needs Assessment & Scoping
We confirm objectives and assess the technical, social, and operational dimensions. This defines timelines, team composition, and expected outputs.
Team Formation
We assemble a multidisciplinary team of researchers, engineers, AI specialists, students, community experts, and partner representatives.
Co-Design Workshops
Structured sessions where partners, communities, and technical teams collaborate to design the solution blueprint.
Prototype Development
Under expert supervision, teams build AI models, dashboards, apps, transformation tools, engineering prototypes, or challenge outputs.
Pilot Testing & Evidence Collection
Solutions are tested in real environments. We gather impact data, performance metrics, and community feedback.
Validation, Scaling & Transfer
Validated solutions are transferred to partners with documentation, capacity building, deployment toolkits, and long-term pathways.
